Algorithm to success
Being that any psychological job is at the bottom of the
hierarchy of sciences, I figured I would delve in the realm of the
mathematical. People like numbers (psychology) people get confused and turned
off by things they cannot rate. How do I know something is better than
something else if there is no RESEARCH to determine it? How can I argue
somebody and prove them wrong if I don’t have numbers flowing in my favor? How
in the world do I know what to choose for my kid if there are no numbers to
determine good, better, best?
BAM!
Obviously X is you and Y is what you believe you can do,
so the end result is the version of you believing what you can do. Success
isn’t anything more than achieving a goal you have set. So, the you achieving
what you believed would happen is the end result.
So, why not attempt to put qualitative data in a
quantitative definition so people know what to do to be successful.
Here it goes:
X+y=xy
Your problems are solved. The problems including lack of
funds or no ladies or gents wanting you are all wrapped up in that algorithm.
Just like in algebra you have the theory, so now you just plug and chug baby.
Now to determine where Y came from. After all, it is half
the equation and a critical component to the YOU that is successful.
The Y is a combination of environment and perspective.
The environment is anything, past, present, or future that affects you
currently and perspective is what you choose to see.
An algorithm for Y could be:
E+P=Y
Environment is given and the perspective is what you
choose to see.
P=R
R is resilience. Your amount of resilience is based on
what your end result is. You can have a lot of resilience and decide to
perceive the situation as for you, or a learning opportunity, or you can have
minimal resilience which you are the victim. Both have their place in this
world, however the upper levels of resilience tend to be the people who grow
and thrive whereas the low resilience or the victim mentality is dependent on
the environment changing (not mathematical) to give people what they need.
So, X is still you, but further Y= (E+P). Your physical
self X is given and your environment, for the most part is given and beyond
your control so that leaves perspective.
Your perspective of yourself, your environment, every
situation you’ve ever been in, your abilities or lack thereof, everything ever
encountered in your life is based on your perspective as to it’s role in your
life.
P equals the whole being of success. I can be homeless
with a positive attitude and be successful. I could be a millionaire with a
crappy attitude and be a loser. Success is your perspective, not what the world
wants from you. By allowing the environment to define what success is for you
would mean that E=XY where your ideal self is equivalent to what the
environment promotes?
No no no. That makes no mathematical or psychological
sense. Yes, it is wrong in both the highest and lowest rungs of science.
Math is hard but this equation isn’t. Your problems are
what you perceive as problems and therefore are still your own doing. To blame
the environment, including others, for your problem means that you are at the
mercy of an ever changing world that really could care less about your needs.
